This event is NOT open to the public. It is also a CERT training that qualifies to renew your Walnut Creek CERT membership and Disaster Service Worker (DSW) registration for two more years. Be sure to sign in to get credit for the training.

As a First Responder in an emergency, you may need to assist, direct or evacuate citizens with Alzheimer’s or another dementia. Some of these citizens may be injured, have experienced trauma or be without a familiar caregiver. In this training presented by Alex Morris, Professional Training Specialist for the Alzheimer’s Association of Northern California and Northern Nevada, you will learn effective communication techniques for assisting and evacuating people with Alzheimer’s dementia. “  

Our bi-monthly CERT refresher trainings are the 2nd Monday of even numbered months, except December, at Walnut Creek City Council Chamber at City Hall, unless otherwise noted.

The next refresher will be on June 8, 2020.
