The Walnut Creek Community Arts Jazz Band, led by Max Pricco, is pleased to announce our concert at the Shadelands Auditorium on Thursday, March 15th. Get a jump on Spring, and join us for an exciting mix of contemporary and traditional jazz, blues, swing, and Latin big band music!

We have so much great music in store for you, including modern big band arrangements of such jazz classics as Miles Davis’ Milestones, Antonio Carlos Jobim’s Wave, Henry Mancini’s The Days of Wine and Roses, Charles Mingus’ Nostalgia in Times Square, and Thelonious Monk’s Round Midnight, which feature both our ensembles and our lead instrumentalists on trumpet, sax, trombone, and flute.

We will be turning the music up a notch at this concert with our newest addition to the band -- the lovely and talented vocalist, Julia Schaletzky. It will be difficult to sit still as Julia brings a fresh approach and an exciting new energy to such tunes as All of Me, Every Day I Have the Blues, Misty, and The Lady is a Tramp, so feel free to dance if the spirit moves you! This is a concert that you don’t want to miss, and we look forward to seeing you there!
